Inside our Monday & Wednesday Training Sessions

What Makes Our Sessions Different

KW2 Academy’s Monday and Wednesday evening training sessions in Sheffield are built around structure, intensity and long-term player development. Delivered in partnership with Primary Sports Coaching and Heritage Goalkeeping, each session follows a clear coaching curriculum designed to support players who are serious about improving beyond standard grassroots training.

Sessions are led by a UEFA B Licensed coach with over 20 years of coaching experience and a semi-professional playing background. Players also benefit from strength and conditioning elements delivered by our sports science coach, Ryan, from Sheffield Wednesday FC, helping support physical development alongside technical progression.

Training focuses on:

• Technical excellence and ball mastery

• Tactical awareness and decision making

• Position-specific development

• Game-based scenarios and small-sided competition

• Athletic development and physical progression

• Goalkeeper specific training (Wednesday's only)

Our sessions are high intensity and professionally structured, designed to bridge the gap between grassroots and academy football while complementing existing club commitments.

We have supported the progression of players into professional academy environments and maintain strong relationships with local clubs to help create clear development pathways.
